1. Who we are

The SA Edit is the controller of personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@thesaedit.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

We collect the first name, email address, signup source and collection interest you submit. We may also receive limited technical and security information such as IP address, device and request logs. When you shop, we may process order, payment-status, delivery and customer-service information. Card details are handled by our payment provider rather than stored by us.

3. How and why we use it

  • To send launch news, collection updates and early access where you have consented.
  • To record and honour your unsubscribe choice.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website based on our legitimate interests.
  • To process and fulfil orders where necessary to perform a contract.
  • To meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and other legal obligations.

4. Marketing choices

We rely on your consent to email you as a pre-launch subscriber. Consent is optional and is not a condition of browsing the website. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

5. Sharing information

We share only what is necessary with service providers that help us host the website, manage email, process payments, fulfil orders, deliver parcels, provide customer support and maintain security. We may also disclose information where required by law or in connection with a business reorganisation. We do not sell personal information.

6. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

7. Website analytics

We use first-party, cookieless analytics to measure page views, approximate unique visitors, popular pages, referring websites, broad country, device type, browser, operating system, language and screen size. We do not store your raw IP address for analytics. Instead, a one-way identifier is created from limited technical information and changes daily, so it is used only to estimate daily visitor numbers and not to track you across other websites. Device and location details are technical estimates and may be inaccurate, for example when a VPN or privacy tool is used.

8. Retention

We keep waitlist information while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record so we can respect your choice. Order and transaction records may be kept for the periods required by tax, accounting and consumer law. Analytics records are retained only for as long as needed to understand website performance. Security logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and you may withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Children

This website and our mailing list are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the website and our services develop. The latest version and update date will always appear here.
